A TEAM YOU CAN TRUST
There’s nothing like knowing you are in safe hands whilst pushing your limits, which is why our instructors are British Cycling qualified with over 20 years of professional coaching experience. From the flowy blue trails of Ashton Court, to steep technical trails of the welsh valleys and local jump parks. We've coached riders on every type of terrain, in all conditions and at all stages of progress.
Just as important as qualifications, our instructors have in-depth knowledge of the physics of bike control. We constantly research, test and refine coaching theories and ideas to better our understanding. This means that we won't just push you in at the deep end to see if you can swim. We'll meet you where you are at, understand your journey and apply our process to support you to take your riding to the next level.Â

OLLIE CAIN
INSTRUCTORÂ | DIRECTOR
Ollie has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years. Growing up he discovered the freedom to travel and enjoy the outdoors on a mountain bike. Progressing his skills to enjoy riding challenging trails all over the world.Â
From Whistler to the French Alps, and Chilean Lake District he made the jump to live in Bristol in the early 2000s because of the incredible local trail network and access to the world class steep technical enduro riding in the famous Welsh Valleys. Ollie enjoys testing himself in all MTB disciplines. Whether it’s an epic all day slog across the hills, hitting a new jump line, drop or a section of trail, even at the ripe old age of 40 he still loves to push his limits and improve his skills whenever out on the bike.
Ollie has a wealth of experience and knowledge to offer. He has been heading up our Skills Academy youth programme since it’s inception in 2015 and has a specific interest in getting kids out and active in the woods to support a healthy lifestyle, physical health and mental well-being. With over 10 years experience as a mountain bike coach he's seen literally 1000s of people ride and progress their skills. He understands the physical needs, movement patterns and technique needed to progress, but also the psychological aspects of coaching which can lead to frustration unless approached with fun, playful, relaxed, growth mindset. Â
Ollie doesn't just love riding bikes himself, he has a passion for ensuring that the next generation has continued access to incredible trails, coaching and mountain bike education. As well as heading up the Pedal Progression on the ground, he is a co-founder of local MTB club Bristol Shredders and a founding Trustee of his local trail association Ride Bristol.

OLLIEÂ KIDNER
INSTRUCTORÂ
If we had to describe Ollie's coaching style in a few words, we'd say it was creative, fun and highly engaging.
Ollie has been coaching mountain biking professionally for 5 years but his approach to understanding the needs of individuals and how best to harness their strengths to achieve a goal is a lifetime in the making.Â
His enthusiasm for riding is infectious and coupled with a depth of understanding of the movement patterns that are need to make a bike do incredible things he has shown he can take riders of all levels of ability to a place they didn't think they could go. When faced with riders with repeating challenges a new creative approach to problem solving is what is needed and Ollie has this in spades.Â
Ollie's favourite ride is simple... Throw in some big jumps, steep descents, flowy single track, techy climbs and plenty of wide open trail to throw a manual and put a grin on his face.
